كيف تعرف الضغط المناسب؟How do you know the right pressure?

الضغط الصحيح تحدده الشركة المصنعة لسيارتك، وتجده غالبا على ملصق عند باب السائق أو في دليل السيارة. لا تعتمد على الرقم المكتوب على جدار الإطار، لأنه يمثل الحد الأقصى للإطار وليس الضغط الموصى به للسيارة.The correct pressure is set by your car's manufacturer, and you usually find it on a sticker at the driver's door or in the car manual. Do not rely on the number written on the tire sidewall, because it represents the tire's maximum, not the pressure recommended for the car.

خطوات النفخ الآمنSafe inflating steps

أوقف السيارة في مكان آمن بعيدا عن الطريق، وشغّل الفلاشر عند الحاجة.Park the car in a safe place away from the road, and turn on the hazard lights when needed.
قس الضغط والإطار بارد قدر الإمكان، فالإطار الساخن يعطي قراءة أعلى.Measure the pressure with the tire as cold as possible, since a hot tire gives a higher reading.
أبقِ محرك السيارة يعمل أثناء استخدام المنفاخ حتى لا تستنزف البطارية.Keep the car engine running while using the inflator so you do not drain the battery.
ثبّت الفوهة جيدا على صمام الإطار قبل التشغيل.Fix the nozzle firmly on the tire valve before switching on.
انفخ على دفعات وراجع القراءة، ولا تتجاوز الضغط الموصى به.Inflate in stages and check the reading, and do not exceed the recommended pressure.
أغلق غطاء الصمام بعد الانتهاء.Close the valve cap when finished.

متى لا يكفي المنفاخ؟When is the inflator not enough?

إذا كان الإطار يفقد الهواء بسرعة، أو فيه تورم أو قطع أو مسمار، فالمنفاخ حل مؤقت فقط. اذهب إلى محل إطارات لفحصه، ولا تقد مسافات طويلة بإطار تالف.If the tire loses air quickly, or has a bulge, a cut or a nail, the inflator is only a temporary solution. Go to a tire shop to have it checked, and do not drive long distances on a damaged tire.

تذكر أيضا فحص الإطار الاحتياطي من وقت لآخر، فهو يحتاج ضغطا مناسبا مثل بقية الإطارات.Remember also to check the spare tire from time to time, as it needs suitable pressure like the other tires.
